In Memory: Joan Elizabeth Fradelis

The AMHA is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Joan Elizabeth Fradelis, a long-time member, who passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, at the age of 76, following a brief battle with cancer.

Joan established Mountain State Morgans in West Virginia and was an avid and knowledgeable breeder.  Her horses were her greatest passion, and together they achieved great success in the show ring. She attended the Grand National & World Championship Horse Show® in Oklahoma just last year and was an active and cherished member of the Morgan community for decades.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local animal shelter.

Joan's legacy will endure, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. AMHA extends its heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
