Morgan Horses at the 2023 US Dressage Finals
[Lexington, KY] - This past weekend, the US Dressage Finals took place here at the Kentucky Horse Park with over 300 horses and riders from across the country. The competition is rated as a Level Five Competition, which is noted as the highest level of competition under USEF rules. To compete in the US Dressage Finals, competitors must first compete and place in one of the nine Great American/USDF Regional Championships or receive Wild Card Eligibility. Two riders and their Morgan horses were among the many talented competitors whose hard work landed them competing in the 2023 US Dressage Finals, each making notable performances over the weekend.
Competing in the Training Level AA, both Alaina Wickham and Tory Sargeant had excellent performances with their Morgan horse partners.
Alaina Wickham and Kennebec Nova's admirable performance on Friday in the Training Level Test 3 AA put them finishing in the Top 6. The two ended the competition on the final day with a strong ride in the Finals Training Level Championship AA.
Tory Sargeant and JAX Silver Lining started their show success on Saturday of the competition, receiving 1st Place honors in the Training Level Test 3 AA. Also making their final appearance at the US Dressage Finals on Sunday, Tory and her horse had a wonderful final ride in the Finals Training Level Championship AA.
The two pairs both had a successful and memorable experience at the 2023 US Dressage Finals, showcasing their hard work and dedication to the sport. AMHA would like to extend its congratulations to Tory and Alaina for their remarkable performances at the 2023 US Dressage Finals.
