BreyerFest 2023: Congratulations to HD Harkness

BreyerFest 2023 is now in the history books. BreyerFest at the Kentucky Horse Park is something to experience. The Park began hosting this as a 2-day event in 1990(*). It quickly grew to a 3-day event and has experienced a growth in attendance from around 1,000 to over 30,000! And, in 2020, BreyerFest pioneered a virtual event that is now reaching more than 100 countries! This year’s crowd was every bit of 30,000 strong and nothing dampened their spirits – not even the hot, humid, and sometimes stormy Kentucky weather.
AMHA feels fortunate to participate at BreyerFest. It is a great opportunity to share our Morgan horse with a large, enthusiastic group of horse lovers – quite a few told us that they are Morgan owners. Our heavily visited booth was on the main concourse of the demonstration arena. We offered fun, merchandise, information, and of course the sharing of love and joy for the Morgan horse. It was also the BEST vantage point to see HD Harkness (Hark) honored and cheered as a new Breyer model.
HD Harkness (By DPR Bandstand and out of Foxglenns Charity) was bred by WH Miner Ag & Research Institute and is owned by Mary Christine Foxworthy. Hark, Mary Chris, and Martin Foxworthy were exemplary ambassadors for the Morgan horse. Many autographs were signed, and horsey kisses given during the event. Thank you to this dedicated team for sharing the Morgan horse so beautifully with us and the world!
BreyerFest has already released their theme for 2024 – “Against All Odds.” Watch for the event July 12 -14, 2024. We hope to be there honoring another wonderful Morgan horse!
