Announcing - Outstanding AMHA Club Member of 2021
The American Morgan Horse Association is pleased to announce that Chris Nerland has been selected as AMHA’s 2021 Outstanding Club Member of the Year! Congratulations to Chris! He is our first recipient of this new award.
This honor is awarded to the person, nominated by fellow Club members, who is notably instrumental in a Club’s promotion of the Morgan horse. This person must demonstrate sportsmanship and leadership qualities, generate promotional impact and community outreach through his/her volunteerism with the Club, have a length of service to the Morgan industry and the local Club; in general, be a valuable asset to the Club and our beloved horse.
Chris was selected because he exemplifies all of these characteristics and more with his forward-thinking ideas, contagious energy, and encouraging/educational youth and promotional activities. The nomination ended by saying “To say that Chris has been a benefit to the Club is an understatement,” and we agree.
Normally, Chris would have been honored at the AMHA Annual Meeting of Members on January 6 in Orlando, Florida. But, Chris was unable to attend. His Club, Ozarks Morgan Horse Club, wanted to “surprise” honor him at their January 22 meeting so we have kept this award under wraps until they could celebrate with him!
Thank you, Chris, for your hard work and dedication to the Ozarks Morgan Horse Club, the AMHA, and the Morgan horse. We are truly proud to have you as a member and friend.
