In Memory - Elaine Bricker Galatz

The AMHA is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of long-time member and friend, Elaine Galatz, on Tuesday, October 19.  Below is the lovely obituary provided by King David Memorial Chapel in Nevada. May we add that she was very special to AMHA and the Morgan community. Elaine was inducted into the AMHA Hall of Fame in 2009; was a 2011 Person of the Year; and Elaine and her farm, Vegas Valley Morgans, were inducted into the AMHA Breeders Hall of Fame in 2020. Elaine also served for many years on the Grand National Show Committee and was a true talent in the showring.

Elaine Bricker Galatz

September 1, 1939 – October 19, 2021

Elaine Bricker Galatz, age 82, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Elaine was born September 1, 1939 in WI to Ruth Bricker (nee Jacobson) and Louis Bricker.

Elaine is survived by her daughter Leesa Galatz; her son-in-law David Finlay; and her daughter Lara Galatz.  Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Neil Galatz; her father Louis Bricker and her mother Ruth Bricker (nee Jacobson).

A memorial service for Elaine will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E Eldorado Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89120.
