In Memory - Harold Edward Cochran
Harold Edward Cochran, 74, West Middlesex, entered into eternal rest Monday, August 16, 2021, in UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh. After a scheduled surgery, he suffered non-related complications and was surrounded by his loving family when he passed.
He was born in New Castle to the late Robert Cochran and Frances (McKibben) Cochran.
Harold was a nationally-known horse auctioneer, having operated the largest Morgan Horse Auction in the nation for over 20 years. He also worked for Creech Horse Transportation hauling award winning show horses and thoroughbred race horses. He also worked for Valley Freight lines. His passion was supporting and helping his wife and daughter accomplish World Championship results with the families' Morgan horses.
He served as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. He was a member and past president of the West Middlesex Kiwanis Club.
He and his wife were able to spend the last year of his life enjoying the RV lifestyle, spending the summer in Mercer County and the winter in Florida. It was a dream come true for them. Harold also looked forward to visits from his grand dog, Chewy, and playing with him.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Penny (Price); a daughter, Kylee David and husband Mike, West Middlesex; a sister, Janet (Merle) Shaw, Harlansburg; and several nieces and nephews.
