Online Voting Portal NOW Open!

The 2021 AMHA Election portal is now open and ready to begin accepting your electronic votes. Every AMHA member that is eligible to vote (AND has a valid e-mail address on file with AMHA) should have received an electronic ballot with the appropriate instructions for online voting sometime yesterday (January 6, 2021)! Also – check your junk e-mail or spam folder if you don’t find your ballot in your inbox. You can request a duplicate ballot by e-mailing info@morganhorse.com.

For those preferring to vote by paper ballot, those hard copy ballots were mailed on December 29, 2020 to the address on file with AMHA to every eligible voter. Your paper ballot also includes instructions should you prefer to vote online than returning the hard copy.

Did you know that AMHA Bylaw 2.13 requires that each region cast a minimum of 100 ballots to establish a proper quorum and validate the election? This means that even if a particular region has an uncontested race (only one person running for one position), AMHA MUST receive a minimum of 100 properly executed ballots in order to validate the election of that region.

So, even if your region has an uncontested race, AMHA still NEEDS YOUR VOTE! Should AMHA fail to meet this minimum quorum, the cost of running a repeat election is both excessive and wasteful. Please be sure to participate in this important governing process of your association. All 2020 members 18 years of age and older and in good standing are eligible to cast a vote.

Online voting will be open until 12:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, February 26, 2021. Paper ballots must be postmarked no later than February 12, 2021 and received by the Tabulating Agent no later than February 22, 2021. Votes can be cast in person or by proxy at the annual meeting location in the United States Pony Clubs Board Room at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Live and proxy voting will be available on Friday, February 26 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Eastern Time).

In the event of multiple ballots from or on behalf of a member, the final ballot cast will be counted.
