In Memory - Lucille Hooper

Lucille Hooper, 87, passed away on February 22, 2020. ‘Lu’ and her late husband, John, were formerly of Morgan

Hills, CA. The Hoopers enjoyed showing their Morgans with several different trainers, including Walker Stables, Wayne Willnauer and Bob Lewis.


Many won’t forget her smiling face on her victory pass as the 1985 World Amateur Pleasure Driving Champion, driving Triton Moses. Lu also had great success driving Rosemont Montego, while her daughter, Didi, rode him in English pleasure classes.  Lu also served on the AMHA Board, and was active in the Golden West Morgan Horse Club and Show.  Lu is survived by a son, Richard Larkin; and daughter, Didi Wake; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
