Morgan Club Offers Scholarship to Youth

A $1,000 scholarship contest is being offered to college students in Illinois and Wisconsin by the Mid-States Morgan Horse Club, Inc. Applicants must be age 17 to 21, a member of AMHA and an Illinois or Wisconsin local AMHA club. Applicant must also have a 3.5 or better, cumulative grade point average.

To win, a 500-800 word essay written by the applicant on “What the Morgan horse has done for me” will be judged. Grammar, spelling and punctuation will also be judged. The essay is to be electronically submitted to Shirley Orlando at orlandoshirl@att.net.

Scholarship forms and applications are due by May 15, 2019.

The scholarship will be awarded Saturday, June 1 at the Prairie State Classic Horse Show.
