AMHA Issues Corrections to Star Awards and Open Competition Placings

AMHA extends their greatest apologies to all participants as we have been required to update the final standings of both the STAR AWARDS and the OPEN COMPETITION programs due to inadvertent errors.

The final results from the Star Awards Program had to be corrected as many horses that have been gelded but NOT reported as gelded to the Registry were incorrectly listed in the stallion division placings. The corrections have now been made. The standings have been updated on the website and can be viewed here. AMHA would like to take this opportunity to remind owners to notify the registry upon a horse’s gelding so these types of errors do not occur. You can obtain the form on the website to report the change in status here. 

The final results from the Open Competition program had to be corrected due to improper updates and edits during the official “verification” period on AMHA’s end. Again, we apologize for the confusion and appreciate your understanding and patience. The categories that may have been affected by these errors include Competitive Trail, Working Western and Open Shows (Trail, Showmanship, General). Please check the updated results here to see if your horse’s placings have been affected by these final corrections.

We continue to work diligently on calculating Open Competition Medallion points and will announce those shortly sometime next week prior to the Christmas break.
