Fire at Dragonsmeade Farm

A fire broke out in the early mornings of Sunday, August 19 at Dragonsmeade in Winchester, Kentucky. By the time firefighters arrived on the scene, the barn was engulfed in flames and the roof already had collapsed. Four horses, including multi world champion Dragonsmeade Icon and three mares, perished in the fire. Aside from the horses, equipment and hay bales in the barn were also destroyed.

The American Morgan Horse Association extends its deepest condolences to the Fu family during this tragic time. The Dragonsmeade program has forever bettered our beloved Morgan breed and we wish the family peace to bring comfort and courage to face the days ahead.
