In Memory: Barbara Nesse

Barbara Nesse, age 63, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 27, after a year-long battle with cancer.

Barbara was born on October 11, 1954 to Paul Motz and Maxine (Poole) Motz in Akron, Ohio. On March 29, 1988, she married Anton Nesse in Tarpon Springs, Florida. After residing in Florida and Minnesota, Barbara settled in Colorado in 2003.

Barb had a passion for horses and was actively involved in the Morgan Horse breeding and competition world – taking numerous horses to the National and World Championship level. She was also a member of New Horizons Band in Colorado Springs for 10 years playing the clarinet, and she was a skilled stained-glass artist.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tony; her son: Matthew B. (Jennifer); her grandchildren: Sonja and Jason; her mother: Maxine; and her siblings: Paul (Kate), Russ (Mary Jo), and Patty (Jim); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul.
