The AMHA/WMF Stallion Service Auction to Become the AMHECT/WMF Stallion Service Auction in 2019

The Board of Directors of the American Morgan Horse Association recently voted 8-1 to transfer the annual stallion service auction to the American Morgan Horse Educational Charitable Trust. After consultation with AMHA legal and financial representatives, it was concluded the transfer would be in the best interest for all participants.

For years, donors and bidders have requested the annual fund raiser to be conducted under the rules of a 501(c)(3) entity. The American Morgan Horse Educational Trust, Inc. (AMHECT) is a 501(c)(3) organization and any contribution is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Individuals are encouraged to consult with their financial advisor for specific details on their own tax deduction status.

We are currently accepting outstanding stallion services to be offered during the 2019 AMHA/WMF Stallion Service Auction. Bidding will begin in mid-December. To be a part of this exciting program, please contact us today.

All proceeds from the auction will still benefit Morgan educational programs such as the World Morgan Futurity, Regional Shows, and AMHA’s Show Grant and Marketing Programs.

In addition, the auction’s partnership with the World Morgan Futurity will allow each stallion’s offspring the opportunity to the win prize money in the different Futurity classes and championships, offspring that are a result of a breeding purchased through the AMHECT/WMF Stallion Service Auction are also eligible for the Auction Reward and the Auction Bonus.

The Auction Bonus is $10,000 in additional Futurity money that goes to the first horse or horses that is a direct result of the AMHECT/WMF SSA and wins a World Morgan Futurity championship class.

Auction Rewards go to Futurity World Champions whose sires were in the AMHECT/WMF SSA the same year. Owners of the dams and sires of these World Champions receive Auction Rewards money along with the horse’s trainer.
