At the new Central Region Morgan Show August 25-26 in Lincoln, Nebraska, everyone is welcome, but Junior Exhibitors are this show are the rock stars! Everyone age 17 and under can show in any classes on the schedule for a flat class rate of $50 per day. All six AMHA Medal Classes (patterns will be posted in advance) are offered in the prize list as well as a full complement of Equitation classes (no patterns except in championship classes) and some fun sport horse classes you might want to try. Junior Exhibitors also have their own Championship classes on Sunday night!
No qualification is needed to show and no AMHA or USEF memberships are required. Nearly all Open classes include $50 in premiums, plus AOTS and Masters classes are available, and everyone is welcome in the Western, English, Hunter, and Pleasure Driving Championships. Entries must be postmarked by August 7 or received by August 14, but entered horses may add classes at the show without a late fee.
Fun prizes will be offered in more than 30 classes as well as prize money in the championships. All exhibitors are invited to Competitor’s Celebration Saturday evening with free desserts as well as a Competitor’s Meeting and Judging Standards Update on Sunday afternoon. Hotels offer discounted rates and affordable restaurants are nearby plus onsite camping is available, too, so come meet other Morgans and their owners even if you aren’t showing. The Lancaster Event Center is all-indoors and located about seven hours north of Oklahoma City, easily accessible from Interstate-80.
The Missouri Valley Morgan Horse Club’s new Morgan-only show is designed to include affordable fees, a great facility, fun with friends, and super prizes, so we hope you’ll join us to qualify or practice for Grand Nationals or just have some fun and try some new classes.
