In Memory: Karleen Peach
Karleen Mary Peach, 60, of Schooley’s Mountain, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Karleen was born on June 24, 1957 in Morristown, New Jersey, and lived most of her life in Schooley’s Mountain. She was a graduate of Rutgers University and worked in human resources.
Karleen enjoyed sports, especially playing softball, volleyball, basketball and pickleball. She was a longtime member of the Long Valley Women’s Basketball League. She had a love for animals and a passion for horseback riding. Much of her younger years were devoted to showing and riding horses, especially with her favorite horses, Tera Lynn and Sealect Seabreeze. She was an avid reader and most enjoyed reading at her “Peach Haven” on LBI. She was always working at the family farm and strived to make it look beautiful. Karleen is affectionately remembered by her family as always being right and never making mistakes.
Karleen is survived by her children, Eric and Christopher Donovan; Chris’ fiancée, Loreal; her father, Bernard Peach; her brothers, Johnny Peach, Brian Peach, and Kevin Peach and his fiancée Gail; her “grand-dogs,” Pancake, Roo, and Tuff; and her nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jason, Zach, Lauren, and Darren. She was predeceased by her mother, Rosalyn Peach.
A celebration of Karleen’s Life will include a visitation on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the William J. Leber Funeral Home in Chester, New Jersey. A 10:30 a.m. funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 25 at St. Luke Parish in Long Valley, New Jersey. Interment will be held privately by the family.
