Enforcement of Driving Regulations

The American Horse Council (AHC) is examining the enforcement of the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) requirements and is working with other agencies in an effort to obtain exemptions for equine activities and a delay on enforcement for a year for the ELDs. AHC has provided two brochures on the Commercial Drivers License and Electronic Logging Device Mandate that can be downloaded for your use.

Enforcement is at the state level and requirements may vary, so please direct questions to the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Office of your local State Police Department. Do not call 911 for answers.
