AMHA/UPHA Open Gate Learning Center Reservations Now Open
AMHA is now accepting payments via credit card to reserve your child’s spot at the AMHA/UPHA Open Gate Learning Center, an on-site study and learning center for young equestrians competing at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show®, taking place in Oklahoma City, October 7-14.
The Learning Center provides academic support to young riders, grades 5-12, who are away from their local schools. Participants can stay abreast of their academic requirements in a structured learning environment supervised by a professional teacher who can provide academic support for students. The center will work with teachers from the student's school to help guide activities while away from school and to monitor tests, if needed. Assignments can be posted, faxed, or emailed form the center to meet deadlines.
The fee for each student is $200, yet the AMHA Epperson Youth Trust is underwriting the cost of hosting the center and subsidizing $50 of the application fee per student, making the application fee $150.
Please submit the fee balance of $150 by calling Katie Hodges at AMHA with a credit card at (802) 985-4944 ext. 401. The center can accommodate a maximum of 20 students. Students will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.
