Going to a Show? Is Your Registry Paperwork in Order?

July 5, 2017

Show season has begun, so now is the time to make sure all leases and transfers have been submitted to AMHA. Has your stallion been gelded? Before showing in a gelding class, this change needs to be reported to AMHA. Transfers and leases that are not filed in a timely manner will show the previous owner in show results.

Registry processing is taking anywhere from three to six weeks this summer, due to software training. If you are a 2017 AMHA Premium Member, expedited registry work is a benefit of this membership level. When sending in registry paperwork, be sure to include a copy of your card, or if that is not available a note with your account name and number, and clearly state you are a premium member. This way, you will go to the head of the line!

If you are not a Premium Member, the Registry Department offers a rush fee for $75 on all services, including transfers and registrations. Paying this fee allows your paperwork to be processed within two to three business days upon receipt. Please clearly note "RUSH" on both the envelope and on your paperwork.

For more information or questions, contact the AMHA Registry Department at (802) 985-4944, registry@morganhorse.com.
