SUNTIME COQUETTE
Fortune's Solitaire x Funquest Coed

Sometimes just being who you are is enough to make you special. Nina was the daughter of my favorite show mare with the athletic ability that one old Morgan horseman said made her a "tasty mover." Never out of cadence with her hocks well under her, this western pleasure mare was a dream to ride. She gave us several nice babies but was most famed on the farm for her "walkabouts." One evening very late, I went out to feed an orphan foal and noted that the door to Nina's stall door and the adjoining door were open. She and a companion were on "walkabout" on a night with no moon. Calling and searching the farm produced no results. Frantic calls to the sheriff were futile. Getting up at first light to look yet again assured me that Nina and friend were not here or at any adjoining neighbors. I wept as I drove the roads looking for a tragic accident. Returning home after a sad half hour, I was greeted by Nina and friend who had returned from who knows where and wanted their breakfasts, right now.
